I got this glorious idea from Ree Drummond- in case you’re living under a rock… The Pioneer Woman. Essentially my idol for all things opposite of how I live my life.

In recovery… well, actually, in my ED I have/had moments of wishing I was ignorant to how food can affect the body. I was envious of people like The Pioneer Woman that could eat whatever they please without having guilt or a second thought about it.

That’s freaking ridiculous. Like really Kelly?

We all have a choice- some foods make us feel worse than other and some foods have to be off limits for our body to run optimally. That doesn’t mean foods are good or bad! It just simply means we are in control of our body’s well being. That’s a pretty amazing power- a gift really!

So now I’ve gotten all deep on a post that’s suppose to be all lovey dovey… I bring you chocolate.

It’s a girl’s best friend after-all šŸ˜‰

Like I said, this was inspired by Ree because she made a chipotle chocolate for her daughter’s class (which must have way different rules than my kids. Homemade treats are the devil in my kid’s school!) and it sparked the idea for these cuties.

Of course you don’t need them to by heart shaped! A 9×5 loaf pan works just fine and these can be whipped together in under 5 minutes which make for a great party sweet!

Orrrrr if you’re anything like me- the whole idea of Valentines Day is a little silly to you so you don’t do anything but feel really bad at the last minute and need something quick to put together…. no, just me?

Regardless- this chocolate bite/fudge is going to be a crowd pleasure for the spicy food lovers in your life!

Chipotle Chocolate Fudge

Minimal ingredient fudge with a little kick!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Oil melted and still warm!
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/8 tsp Chipotle Chili Powder
  • pinch of Salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk all the ingredients together in a small bowl before pouring the fudge into a lined 9×5 pan or cute silicone molds.

  2. Let them set in the fridge for at least an hour before enjoying!
