Party food is the best food. Can we just all agree on that? All those little bites of food just sprawled out all over tables and counters. It’s like a food lovers paradise.

Since I love party food so much… and since it’s the season for holiday parties…. I thought I’d add to the list of fun snacky foods that would not only be great for a get together- but for daily snacking in general.

Who doesn’t like to snack right? This ‘party mix’ is definitely a party in your mouth and takes no more than 2 minutes to prep. AKA is a mama’s ideal snack situation. Chocolate, nuts, dried fruit- this mix has it all and the best part is it’s completely customization!

I chose dried cranberries this time around but apricots, blueberries, figs… anything really would be amazing! If you are a strict Paleo, make sure your dried fruit is JUST fruit no sugar!

For the nuts I used pecans and almonds but again whatever you want to use is fine. I’m kind of kicking myself for not adding pistachios. It’s fine. Just don’t make my mistake.

Lastly the seeds- I used pumpkin… because I had a HUGE amount. Real talk. Flax, sesame, pumpkin are all great options!

I know I said lastly but this is real the lastly- chocolate… it’s completely optional but not optional at all. You only need a little bit because 100% chocolate is riiiich but it finds all the ingredients together with the help of raw maple syrup.

So to recap. Super freaking easy. Super tasty. Super easy to customize.

Paleo Party Mix

This party mix is definitely a party in your mouth that only tastes 2 minutes to prep!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Pecans
  • 1/2 cup Almonds
  • 1/2 cup Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1/2 cup Cranberries *sugar-free
  • 1/4 cup Dark Chocolate chopped, *sugar-free if paleo
  • 1/4 cup Raw Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon optional

Instructions

  1. In a medium sauce pan over medium heat- heat all the ingredients except for the chocolate. Stir continually to ensure that the nuts, seeds and cranberries are covered in the maple syrup. 

  2. Turn the heat off once the maple syrup is warmed through and the nuts have some fragrance- about 2 minutes.

  3. Add in the chocolate- stirring again until the chocolate is fully melted.

  4. Pour the mixture onto some parchment paper. Let it cool completely before breaking it into clumps and enjoying!
